Iboga Healing. A real-life story
Vanessa Kelly
In the deep Gabonese Jungle, on the central west coast of Africa, exists a tribe of people known as Missoko Bwiti. They are most well known for their use of the Iboga root bark for healing, ceremony and Shamanistic practices.
Vanessa Kelly describes her experience of meeting with the people, her perceptions, powerful shifts and healing experiences, whilst ingesting Iboga root in an ancient and traditional setting. She discusses the rollercoaster of emotional discombobulation, followed by her reconstruction of self, which occurs when undergoing ceremonial practices while learning the Bwiti teachings and way of life. She discusses the various phenomena she experienced, such as visions and flashforwards, which led her into a new, healthier mindset, perspective, and way of life.
Vanessa shares beautiful photographs and footage of her time in the village and jungle, along with traditional ceremonies, practices and crafts.
