DMTB
Dimethyltrippybeats (DMTB) is the genre-bending brainchild of Melbourne producers Fred Freeman and Ash Mclerie, born on a NYE dance floor in 2016 and brought to life through years of long studio sessions and live experimentation.
Since forming in 2017, DMTB has performed at festivals and events across Australia, building a loyal following and earning support from many respected artists, promoters, and labels.
In 2021, the duo completed work on their debut 3-track EP, released on renowned Belgian label MoodFamily - founded by long-time inspirations Stavroz.
Melding broken beats with four-on-the-floor grooves, DMTB weaves psychedelic synths with warped recordings of beatbox, voice, flute, didgeridoo, harmonica, guitar, and whatever else they can get their hands on - creating immersive, hypnotic journeys that defy genre.
