Rather than attempting to replicate the beauty of her subjects, Em seeks to honour and complement them, presenting their essence with sensitivity and intention. Her work brings attention to critical environmental and social issues—both natural and human-made—elevating often overlooked or undervalued subjects. Through a process of personal research and creative exploration, Em uses her artistic voice to foster meaningful conversations and inspire reflection among her audience.
While illustration remains a central focus, her practice is not confined to a single medium. Em works fluidly across mixed media, printmaking, and textiles, allowing each project to guide her choice of materials and methods. Her art is both a form of inquiry and a vehicle for connection—bridging knowledge, storytelling, and visual expression.
