James Sanders
James W. Sanders is a psychologist, cognitive neuroscientist, and micro-phenomenologist studying the neurophenomenology of short-acting tryptamines and other psychedelics at the UCL Centre for Consciousness Research and the Centre for Psychedelic Research, Imperial College London.
He specialises in micro-phenomenology and has notably studied DMT (incl. continuous infusion DMT), as well as 5-MeO-DMT in both naturalistic and lab settings. His current PhD examines the living practice and phenomenological state-space of Dzogchen, a Tibetan contemplative tradition, as well as neurophenomenological processes of construction and deconstruction across psychedelic and meditative experiences. He is also an educator, teaching phenomenological methods (esp. micro-phenomenology) to researchers as well as meditation practitioners, psychedelic therapists and integration specialists.
