Nature walk - grounded in place and in season
Tanya Loos
As we gather together to open our hearts and minds, let's take a break and take closer look at the living world around us!
Botanical Altar Cloth Workshop
Empress Moth
Join me in a hands-on session exploring the natural colours and imprints of eucalyptus leaves on wool. In this workshop, you’ll learn a simple botanical printing process to create your own small altar cloth - a piece that can hold personal meaning for ceremony, ritual, or simply as a reminder of your connection to nature.
We’ll work with locally gathered Australian plants and natural fibres, learning how to prepare and arrange leaves for clear, lasting prints. No prior experience is needed - just curiosity and a willingness to engage with the quiet magic of plants and the patterns they gift us.
Guided nature walk and bush detective circle
Tanya Loos
Join field naturalist Tanya Loos on a journey into the natural world that surrounds as at Garden States! We will start the session off with a sharing circle to check out Tanya's collection of special skulls, scats, feathers and other natural objects.
We will then go on a bush detective nature ramble to see what we can find. This is a chance to breathe out, connect to place, and to the other living beings on site. Ideal for families, but nature lovers of all ages are welcome.
