Breath as Portal: Yogic Pranayama for Inner Alchemy and Somatic Integration

Breath as Portal: Yogic Pranayama for Inner Alchemy and Somatic Integration

In the great forests of yogic wisdom, breath is the bridge between body and spirit, self and nature. In this experiential workshop, we journey through the sacred science of pranayama — the yogic art of breath — to cultivate internal regeneration and somatic coherence.

This is not merely a breathing class. It's a ritual for restoring balance to the nervous system, reconnecting to the subtle body, and integrating expanded states of consciousness, whether accessed through meditation, plant medicine, or deep inner work.

Rooted in traditional yogic frameworks like the Pranamaya Kosha and the chakra system, and infused with modern understandings of the nervous system and trauma-informed practice, this session provides a safe and expansive container to explore:

  • Yogic breathing practices for energising, balancing, and calming

  • How breath influences brainwaves, mood, and altered states

  • The power of rhythm, sound, and stillness in breathwork

  • Breath as integration: anchoring peak states into daily embodiment

  • Breath and Earth connection: restoring inner ecology through outer rhythm

We’ll begin with gentle movement and somatic practices to awaken prana (life force) and prepare the body for breathwork. Participants will then be guided through a series of traditional yogic pranayama techniques — such as Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing), Brahmari (humming breath), and simple kumbhaka (breath retention) — tailored to support nervous system regulation and subtle body awareness. The session will conclude in stillness, allowing time for integration, silent reflection, and the subtle vibrations of breath or mantra to settle within.

This offering is open to all levels of experience. Whether you’re new to pranayama or a seasoned psychonaut, this session offers a potent toolkit for breath-led regeneration.

Come as you are. Breathe as you are. Leave with more of yourself.
